The Agriturismo "Le Querce" is a recently renovated stone farmhouse set in a panoramic position. Surrounded by a park of secular oaks "Le Querce" allows guests to stay in close contact with nature (also because it is very close to the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve) and at the same time to walk to the village of Torre Alfina, a pretty village on the ancient Via Francigena, developed around the castle from which it originated, dominated by the Monaldeschi. The structure offers its guests promotions for the exceptional opening of the castle of Torre Alfina.
With the extinction of the family, the castle passed to the Marquises Bourbon del Monte who held it until 1881 when it was purchased and restored by the Marquis Edoardo Cahen, which lies in the gardens of the castle in a Gothic-style mausoleum.
Walking through the alleys of the town you will discover characteristic corners, small squares, ancient houses built with materials of various colors coming from the lava flows of the volcano. The glimpses of the village open up to the sight of immense panoramas that are lost in the distance: to the west the summit of Monte Amiata and to the north that of Cetona.
Its position is particularly favorable for excursions to Tuscany, Umbria and the Lazio hills. It is located at 500 meters. Torre Alfina, 25 Km. Orvieto, 110 Km. Siena, 130 Km. Rome, 130 Km. Florence.
The farmhouse is divided into two tastefully furnished apartments; the rooms are comfortable and welcoming. Each room has different colours, matching the bathrooms.
The apartments are equipped with kitchen and bathroom linen, crockery, independent heating. At guests' disposal: laundry, swimming pool and barbecue.
