Celleno is known as the City of Cherries and is the founder of the National Association of the City of Cherries.
Its cherry festival is famous, resumed in 1997, with the exciting "pit spit" competition, a festival linked to the extensive cultivation that extends over the whole territory. The climax is the parade of allegorical floats, which ends with the cherry jam tart, over 15 meters long.
The typical product is Maraschino di Celleno, made from cherries, sour cherries and spices, an ancient recipe unique in Italy.
The 'Consortium for the Protection and Enhancement of Celleno Cherries' was established a few years ago, which also has among its purposes that of further improving a product destined to rank among the typical and excellent products of Tuscia.
