BOLSENA,CAPRAROLA e CIVITA DI BAGNOREGIO
1 GG BOLSENA AND ITS WONDERFUL LAKE
Arrival between 12/1 pm. Lunch. In the afternoon boat trip (1 hour). Then walking through Bolsena historical centre. Tour to S. Cristina Church, a church that dates back to IV century. Then tour to the Chapel of the Miracle, with the stones stained with the blood of the Miracle of 1263.
Accommodation in hotel. Dinner. (the hotel will be near Viterbo or Bolsena).

2 GG PARKS, VILLAS AND PALACES OF THE XVI CENTURY
After breakfast trip to Caprarola; meeting our guide and tour of Palazzo Farnese (XVI century). It is considered the most important Italian late Renaissance work ever built. Many important Italian masters worked on it. Walking in the huge park which contains Italian gardens, labyrinths, and fountains.
Lunch with typical dishes of farm tradition. Every course is explained and served by girls dressed in countryside clothes in large rooms with comfortable toilets. A big parking for buses in a road well positioned for all directions is available.
After lunch tour of Bagnaia going along the beautiful Cassia Cimina, a road which crosses the natural reserve of Vico lake.
Bagnaia was the holiday village for nobles and important members of the Church. Tour of the Italian garden of Villa Lante, a beautiful building designed by Vignola and wanted by Cardinal Giovanni Francesco Gambara. It is a perfect example of XVI century palace with Italian gardens and fountains
Short stop to Madonna della Quercia Sanctuary. It was designed by Giuliano Sangallo and it contains Andrea della Robbia’s terracotta’s, a big baroque organ, a coffered ceiling designed by Antonio Sangallo the young and the marble little temple with the Oak and the miraculous image of the Virgin with the Child.

3 GG THE DYING TOWN
After breakfast departure for Civita di Bagnoreggio. It is known as the dying town; it is a place of extreme beauty situated on a tuff mass in the middle of Calanchi valley, linked to the rest of the world by a narrow bridge.
Going to Civita means travelling back in time, in a place where everything stands still.
By little buses we go to the ancient village where we can admire one of the most beautiful landscapes in the region. Tour of the cathedral, to S. Bonaventura’s house and then to the silent village which is witness of the Etruscan civilization.
Lunch at the restaurant and then tour of Bomarzo famous monsters’ park. It was created by Vicino Orsini during the second half of the XVI century to surprise and amaze people visiting it. A pleasant and funny walking through ancient trees which hide unexpected huge monsters, masks, animals and strange architectures.
