The “Vallerosa” company takes its name from the locality of the same name, located in the municipality of Ischia di Castro, a village in the province of Viterbo where the olive tree seems to be an integral part of the landscape.
The soil, rich in minerals, unsuitable for many crops but excellent for olive trees, also allows the growth of particular spontaneous herbs including helichrysum, fragrant savory and in the areas left uncultivated, a vast variety of wild orchids which have allowed to the area being identified by the European community and the Lazio region as a "site of community interest".
Even the growth of tall trees seems to be conditioned by the particular properties of the earth and their original shapes, almost as if they were artfully modeled, contribute to making the landscape of the entire area even more singular.
