TARQUINIA: Tarconte

Via della Tuscia 19  - Tel. 0766856141 - info@hoteltarconte.it - www.hoteltarconte.it

In Etruscan mythology, Tarchon and his brother, Tyrrhenus were culture heroes who led a migration from Mysia to Etruria. Tarchon was the founder of the Etruscan Federation of twelve cities among which the most important is Tarquinia, named after him.

For 40 years Hotel Tarconte has been managed by its owners and customers choose it, and become loyal customers, thanks to its warm welcome and good cooking, as well as for its privileged central and scenic position: located 100 metres from the old town centre, it commands a view over the rock spur where the city of Tarquinia lays, enjoying a pleasant breath of wind that mitigates summer heat.

From the terrace, from the restaurant or from all west-facing rooms you can enjoy a striking view over the Tuscan Archipelago, the rocky promontory of Monte Argentario, and Giglio, Elba, Montecristo and Giannutri Islands, and over the Tolfa Mountains too. In certain periods, when the air is clean and the Tramontane blows, you can even see the northern coast of Corsica.

Our 53 comfortable, welcoming rooms with air conditioning, our hall, reading room, tea room, conference hall and large private car park make Hotel Tarconte an excellent 3 star hotel that will meet all your requirements.

Past and present merge in a magic atmosphere full of emotions: a collection of Roman Amphorae and an Etruscan tomb dating back to VII century B.C., treasured in the hotel basement, make Hotel Tarconte a unique one.
