The Fattorie Solidali Social Cooperative is an agricultural social cooperative that manages various production units in some areas of the Viterbo area, the 'Alice Farm' in Viterbo, the 'Ortostorto Social Farm' in Montalto di Castro, was founded in 2007 as a spin off of the agricultural sector of the Alice Social Cooperative, a historic social cooperative in the Viterbo area born in 1990.
The purpose of the Fattorie Solidali social cooperative is to use the cultivation and breeding of animals as a privileged means of promoting the employment and social integration of adults with disabilities, mental illness and young people with strong social discomfort and the provision of services of social utility within the farms managed, already outlining the statutory objectives and including Social Agriculture in their specificities.
All this is achieved through the production of vegetables, legumes and extra virgin olive oil that we cultivate according to the organic farming method. The cooperative has created a laboratory for the transformation of agricultural products in which jams, vegetable preserves, fruit juices and ready-to-eat vegetables are produced; the laboratory is located in the company center of Viterbo.
