The Renaissance is the decorative theme of the apartment, where the fireplace becomes the predominant subject of the environment.
Even the hand-painted majolicas (by Artistica) refer to the same historical period. The coats of arms, especially the one of Cardinal Gambara placed on the mantelpiece, are a tribute to those who have contributed to Villa Lante della Rovere, fifteenth century architectural gem and a wonderful example of the Italian garden.
During the renovation of the apartment a niche in peperino stone (the local stone of volcanic origin that predominates in the area) was discovered and recovered: in wealthier homes it was used as a pantry.
The fireplace, partially covered, has been brought to light in its original lines.
The environment of the toilets was obtained where possible, without upsetting the natural architecture of the house: this project follows a historical logic, since in the period of urbanization of the village such services were not designed.
